Greetings all!
My name is Elisha Tropper, and I am the president of T3 Associates LLC, a Harrison, NY-based strategy consulting firm. Our firm focuses on enhancing value through strategy, and we work with PE firms and their portfolio companies to develop and execute growth plans, divestitures, and improved market positioning.
I am pleased to join this new forum, and hope to be able to contribute to the flow of ideas and networking as well as benefit from the wisdom and connections of other forum members. Thank you Richard for starting this forum.
My name is Kim Chin, and together with my wife Bridget McMinn, own The McChin Group LLC. We are located in the Research Triangle Park (Raleigh-Durham-Chapel Hill) area in North Carolina, home of many successful biotech, pharmaceutical, technology, etc enterprises, many of which are MNC's with operations in different parts of the world.
Our PE/FOF clients tend to be agnostic, and look to us to provide direct introductions to LP's (instituional and family) and also to direct investment opportunities. We are not formal placement agents, and instead function as intermediaries performing critical market intelligence, preparation, facilitation and follow-up to ensure that the deal flows.

Hi there,
Thanks for the invite. I am the founder of Figueroa Capital Group, and a principal of Pathfinder Mortgage Corp. and Charles Dunn Company.
I basically operate an investment banking platform for commercial real estate financial services. We invest our own equity and that of others via syndication, and often times place the debt as well. We are a bit of a hybrid operation, and are in the process of ramping up into the institutional equity world.
We are focused strictly on income producing property, and have developed a strong business in an under served marketplace by remaining one of the only players in the lower equity requirement space.
I am here to learn, and here to build my business, while providing my expertise and resources to others.

I run an investment bank based in Miami which arranges capital (mezz and equity) and does due diligence and project evaluations. Clients are in the Caribbean, Central America and Florida. Industries are typically distribution, low tech and business services. No real estate. Speak fluent Spanish. Significant expertise in cellular/wireless and retail.
Always interested to meet capital sources for my geographic areas of interest.

Hello everyone,
My name is Jake Starkey and I am a film producer/director.
Unlike most of you (it seems) I am looking for funds to create a revolving slate of films. Like you (again, it seems) I am interested in learning more and becoming better at what I do.
My first love is film, my second is business. Anything I can learn from this group will be greatly appreciated.
Here's a quick overview of what I'm looking at doing if anyone is interested in pointing me in the right direction or is intersted in participating (no negative nancy's please lol)
1. Create a Private Equity/Venture Capital/Hedge/Angel fund for a slate of films spread over the next 5 years.
2. Create entertaining films that also encourage and provoke thought and action (I call it socially responsible filmmaking but I'm also not the first)
3. Utilize the team's expertise to create the best films and become a true mini-major. A modern Roger Corman if you will.
4. Locate and place the best people in the right spots (for instance I'm a film fan, you don't want me checking your balance sheets)
Again, any help is gratefully appreciated and I apologize if that all sounded like a sales pitch, didn't mean for it to, I just am looking for help in making this business a success.

Hi everyone,
My name is Jacek Maslak and I am currently finishing my Master's in Finance degree specializing in Hedge Funds and Private Equity in Monaco.
Soon I hope to gain my first experiences in this exciting industry through an internship or a first job, even though I know that this might take a detour through an experience at an investment bank first.
